Community Helpers!

Last week while we were still on winter break the kids had the monthly community service project of cleaning up our playgrounds and walkways. We split into teams and had a competition to see who could find the most stuff. The kids really got into the event, and when I asked them why this is important, they commented on how it helps the Earth, animals, and smaller children from picking up stuff they shouldn't like candy wrappers or grocery bags that have blown up from surrounding stores. I'm so proud of this group of responsible and caring citizens!
